Hello and Welcome! I'm Vera , and I provide guided movement sessions starting with where you are at with no yoga experience required, just an open mind, the ability to slow down and learn, and the ability to be okay with smaller movements. I am fascinated by all things movement and believe we could all benefit from noticing how we move physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. This requires feeling and connecting to your individual mind and body.
Self EXPLORATION of the WHOLE body can become a sustainable everyday practice as a PREVENTATIVE /HEALING approach to injury and/or pain. FEELING the intricacies of the mind body connection is something we can discover when we become aware of more subtle movements. When we open ourselves to truly feeling this connection by tuning in to how we experience them in our body, we open ourselves to so much more EASE in movement. This can involve slowing down, doing less, and heightening awareness.
As a Registered Nurse since 2004, I have worked with people in the acute care setting of trauma, to the outpatient setting of those living with chronic conditions/pain. I have the lived experience of being a patient in 2006 and recovering from a life threatening respiratory illness and have come to appreciate the resilience of the body when we Listen and also put in the work.
The Experience I have teaching in the fitness industry from personal training, TRX classes, bootcamp, crossfit and yoga for mobility has become invaluable in my offerings as well as my immersion into olympic weightlifting under the watchful eye of my coach at Valhalla Strength.
My Love for learning, includes 200 hour yoga teacher training with Define Yoga, 30 hour Yin Yoga training with Stephanie Nosco, and completion of an intensive Yoga therapy program with Functional Synergy. My love for health and movement for wellness, and helping others motivates me to continue to learn through practice and share by teaching.
I believe that we as humans, all have the potential to have a better quality of life and that it can come from and start from within. Let me be your guide while you explore your own body with purposeful movement, consciousness, and breath, utilizing therapeutic practices from the ancient teachings of yoga to other modalities I have learned along the way.
